IT MAH BIRTHDAY gift for you all! 🙂 (Well, it was my birthday. I meant to post this before midnight, but who knew I’d have to restart my game half a dozen times while building/playtesting a CC-free lot??) 

I must admit, I had a lot of fun building something CC-free. 🙂 It was challenging, but in a good way. I got to play around with some Maxis stuff that tends to fall by the wayside among my gigs of CC. 

So, just like it says – a CC-free community lot on a 2×2 lot (the usual). The only “activity” on the lot is an espresso bar, but there’s definitely room to rearrange if you want to add a chess table, tea table, Myshuno, or something. (Actually, the little “sun room” by the entrance is perfect for a card table.) There are two single-Sim bathrooms that I didn’t bother taking pictures of, but they exist. 🙂 

Important stuff! 

  • I have all EPs and SPs.
  • Everything ran smoothly in playtesting (not that there’s much to test here). Sims got coffee and sat on the couch around the fireplace chatting, it was nice. Definitely a very social place. 😉
  • I just noticed the pictures behind the counter are uneven, d’oh. They should be fine in the packaged lot. I took my preview pictures with the rest of my mods/downloads installed, and the Sweet Down Low fix brought all my paintings to the floor. I clearly didn’t fix them properly for the preview shots. 😀
  • Speaking of, if you have the Sweet Down Low fix installed, all the paintings will be at floor level when you load the lot! Sorry about that. D: I was trying to build a really CC-free lot, so I took out EVERYTHING (mods included) during the building/decorating process.
  • RECOMMENDED BUT NOT INCLUDED: invisible espresso bar recolor (because that stupid bar didn’t match the rest of the place :|). With this recolor installed, you can use the espresso bar with any counters! ❤ 
  • Feel free to edit to your heart’s content. 

The lot is CC-free, but use the Clean Installer anyway (it’s a good habit!!). 

As always, let me know if you encounter any problems. Feel free to use in your stories/screenshots, etc. A tag would be nice because I’d love to see what you do with it!

UPDATE 6/4/16 – Some of my lots apparently carry the Super Duper Hug Bug. If you are unfamiliar with the bug, you can read more about it HERE. If you don’t already have it, BoilingOil’s No Sim Loaded will prevent the bug from “infecting” your game. If you already have the bug, the mod will suppress it. Either way, it’s a must-have.

sorry I’m terrible at preview pictures

I made these about a week or two ago and realized I never shared them. They’re recolors of deedee-sims​‘s top-only edit of a 3t2 dress. (Huge thank you to allisas​ who made me a plain white version to recolor. <3) 

AF only at this time, I’d like to make TF recolors but I want to make them repositoried and I have to figure that out first. :3 

Two varieties – all one color (comes in all 18 original colors), and a two-toned version (comes in six colors I thought looked best with the white top). Mesh and swatch are included – thank you poppet-sims​ for the True Romance palette! ❤

Two replacements using Reira’s shoeswap of Io’s Lola dress. This dress was already defaulted by Alienpod, but I’m not a fan of the clunky boots on the original outfit. Also, I can never have enough t-straps. ❤ 

Adult default replaces this base game outfit and is also yf-enabled. Teen default replaces this base game outfit. Both use the original red and blue recolors.

Business-casual edition!

This base game outfit replaced with an outfit by tomwood1906. I know this one has been defaulted several times, but I like the grey suit/blue shirt combination best, okay? So, options!

Then there’s a replacement for this base game outfit using Yuxi’s Primrose suit in black. Again, another one that’s been defaulted several times, but not for this specific outfit as far as I know.

this download, number 28, brings an end to my 3k followers gift extravaganza.  i would like to thank all of you again for following me and hoped that at least one of the downloads shared this week made its way into ur game.  my final gift for all of you consists of 22 recolors of the maxis transcendence painting with pictures from my fellow simmers! i was trying to think of one more gift to end this series of downloads with a bang, and then this came to mind! these pics are by the simmers who have inspired me and who make me soooo happy to be a part of the ts2 community (even tho there are 2 ts3 pics in there smh @ angelapleasant and nightofthelivingbonehilda) if i forgot someone or ur not on here, im rly sorry, i would honestly have done soooo many more but i was getting kind of burned out and also i didnt want this to be too huge so i ended up just using pics from ppl i have interacted with and/or heavily inspired me on a fairly regular basis.  if ur not cool with me using ur pics for this pls lmk and ill get rid of it, i jsut didnt ask everyone cause i wanted it to be a surprise? i hope thats okay.   anyway. thanks again to everyone for following me i appreciate it so much you all are endlessly inspiring and help me step my game up~

Hi! I remember you saying that you made your own skin genetic set up, I was just wondering if you’d be able to share it? :)

Hi anon. 🙂 I’ve uploaded my geneticized skin setup HERE. I take no credit for any part of the skins except for tweaking their genetic values in SimPE. 🙂

Setup includes:

My defaults are not included in the download – I recommend you get them as my genetic scale is based on those four tones. I’ve included a text file with my values so you can see where each skintone is on the scale. 

Feel free to delete whichever ones you don’t want before using them. As vimpse put in her post here, should you use this geneticized set-up, you will not be able to easily remove them. It will involve a lot of messing around to fix and may potentially bork the genetics of all future Sims born in the hood. So while I don’t mind sharing my geneticized skin setup, I just want you to be sure this is the setup you want, too, because it can’t be readily changed later.

Now is as good a time as any to recommend making back-ups of your hoods before trying something new!

I’m not sure how useful this one will be to anyone (I made it to complement another default I’m using), but I figured I’d put it out there anyway. I replaced this basegame outfit with xSayuri’s shoeswap of Io’s jersey dress. I’m also using this default by mechemik, so none of the seven colors I picked will overlap. I just really don’t have a need for so many suits in my game; I can always use more cute sundresses instead. :3
