Origin and Sims 2

I’ve been told that the fix to stop Origin from needing to be running in the background is to replace the Sims2EP9.exe with the noCD version of it.

Gamecopyworld has a sims 2 You need to download this one:

The Sims 2: Mansion Garden Stuff v1.0 [MULTI16] No-DVD/Fixed EXE 

You will be installing it in –

Program Files (x86)Origin GamesFun with PetsSP9

TSBin

Rename your old version first so that you don’t lose it if there’s a problem.

Origin is a dog, and anything we can do to not need it to play a game we’ve paid for is good by me.

Do not use the above link – multiple people have told me about viruses and malware going on that site. 😦

SDHB wrap-up

So for those of you following along at home, my download links are still currently offline, but I do plan to reinstate them with a disclaimer about the SDHB and a link to the fix (for those who don’t have it but still want the lots). 

Sorry for any inadvertent dashboard spam or other trouble I may have caused. This will be the last of it (for tonight anyway), but just in case, I’ve started tagging related posts as “SDHB” if you’d like to blacklist it. 

About uploading lots

I received several messages about sharing Sycamore Cove Academy and Thistle & Honey. They’re both very cc-heavy, and I haven’t playtested either of them yet. I don’t know how taxing those lots would be on most systems (including my own, since I haven’t played them yet…), and there’s a crapton of recolors to sift through and link to in order to share them in their entirety.

So it’s not a no on uploading them both, but it’s a let-me-see-how-they-run-first and maybe I can at least upload a lower-cc version or something. But it probably won’t be right away since sharing lots (and finding necessary master files/Maxis recolors that don’t package) is very time-consuming for me. I work 40+ hours a week (probably more lately, because FLU SEASON) and when I have free time I usually just want to play. ^^; 

I just don’t want anyone to think I’m ignoring messages – I’ve received the requests and I’ll definitely try to upload something. I just don’t have a definite time frame for it yet, sorry!

Hi everyone! I somehow came up with the brilliant idea to sift through my 22k+ likes as a long-term kind of project (don’t all the best ideas happen in the wee hours of the morning?). 

Sadly, tumblr’s “like” system does not make it easy to go back and find things later on (unless I’m missing something?). So in order to better organize posts with downloads, resources, how-tos, floorplans, and other generally inspiring decor or imagery, I’ve created two side blogs: fi-hearts ( simspiration blog) and simper-fi-finds (downloads & resources). Feel free to follow if you’d like, though they’re not going to be updated in any official way. It’s more for my own personal organization purposes. 🙂

That’s all, I hope to get some play time in soon – had work all weekend and I’m looking forward to getting out early tomorrow! 🙂
