Ugh Scandinavian style is one of my favorites! ❤ I tend to look up modern/urban kitchens and a lot of them use clean lines and monochrome colors (as opposed to mission-style or craftsman kitchens with wood finishes). I need to branch out as well! I also look up inspiration from IKEA a lot (but that’s also to get ideas for a future apartment lmao)

Yes! Kraftwerk is amazing! I saw them in D.C. during their Kraftwerk 3D tour last year and it was so much fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect (also I don’t really care for most things in 3D) but it was a super cool audio/visual experience. 🙂 I hope they do another show soon (and preferably a little closer to home – I love traveling to new cities, but I can’t always go a couple hundred miles out of the way for a show :)).

One thing I love about Tumblr compared to when I used LJ is not having to worry about my picture sizes at all, Tumblr just takes care of that for you and it’s sooo handy!! I don’t miss that!
Ah, I missed this comment in my LJ replies post! Oh well. 😛 But yes, you’re absolutely right! As much as I complain about tumblr, I didn’t realize how easy we had it, with the photo resizing and the themes and being able to edit only certain parts of the CSS if need be. Definitely a lot more customization- and photo-friendly!

When I’m adding new stuff I always run it through now. Got a good routine. Sort stuff into folders, rename the files using Renamer, then compressorize, then transfer to Downloads folder into correct sub folders. Wheee
Ahhhh this is such a good idea! I’m terribly lazy and unorganized and just stick everything straight into my downloads folder (it’s a miracle my game hasn’t exploded yet), but I want to try to be more meticulous about it. “Try” being the operative word. 😛

As per the program page here: it’s a program that “will allow you to compress package files in your downloads folder to smaller, more manageable sizes, freeing up space. (Thus making room for even MORE downloads for you download junkies!) On some computers, it also speeds up load time.” 🙂

I’m with ya! Changing out all the trees in my lush neighborhoods isn’t gonna be fun, but those trees are soooooo niiiiiiiiice! 🙂
Fortunately, most of the trees in my neighborhood are the coniferous ones, so I don’t have too many to replace. 🙂 (I should also take this moment to confess that I downloaded the pre-decorated terrain from @voleste, as I have no patience to plonk all those trees down myself. :D) But I think I’m going to make a habit of placing Criquette’s trees more liberally – they’re so beautiful! High-res! SEASONAL! 😀

Graveyard = DONE! The landscaping wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Partially because I remembered that Maxis terrain paint with the flowers exists, and I liberally applied it everywhere to make everything look more lush LOL.

It was a plaid shirt by Mork! I remembered one that I used to have in my game before I redid my downloads folder and thought it’d be good for one of my defaults. I knew it was by Mork and I knew Aquilegia made the mesh, but the post had a broken image so I must’ve scrolled right past it. 😛 Which led me to searching on MTS, GoS, Google, and Pinterest for an hour…

Hahaha, like I don’t have a million other things I should be doing! I’ve just accepted at this point that my hair retextures will never be finished, and neither will my defaults. 😀 I really just want to play but I need to build a cemetery for Sycamore Cove and I’m kind of balking at all the landscaping that needs to be done….

It looks SO cool. Halloween is not very celebrated where I live, I wish it was!
Awww, thank you! To be honest, I don’t celebrate Halloween too much either (most people around here just use it as an excuse to go out and get drunk, which is fine, but not for me :D). One year I’d like to do an actual Halloween party, where everyone really puts thought and work into their costumes, and we do Halloween things, like bobbing for apples (used to do that as a kid!) or watching a scary movie, or having spooky-themed snacks and drinks. 😀 (Not a Halloween party where everyone just wears a cat ear headband and calls it a costume, and everyone plays beer pong in the basement… been there, done that. :P)

I use the second one. Haven’t seen anything too crazy yet, but got some fun ones like Misery the cashier and my lovable Horton the business reviewer. I can definitely verify that I have never seen a name duplicated with it.
Awww, Horton! 😛 Misery is also quite an interesting name. I think I will change my name mod to that one, even though I rarely need to spawn new townies or NPCs anymore. But change can be fun!

I had a dormie named Pharoah! Darcy and Nevena hated him and he ended up getting killed by ghosts. I think it was ghosts at least, because in my game’s uni, its usually ghosts.

Honestly, though, when I start the next gen, I’m going to age up/kill off a lot of the game-generated townies and replace them with Sims made by other people. I can’t wait to put yours in my hood! I hope one of my Sims will find ~true love~ with yours and then I’ll move them into a nice fancy home together!
