Hello hello! Most of the realism in my hood is due to hood deco – at the moment, the neighborhood only has three residential buildings and two apartment buildings (~~and a million community lots but anyway~~). 🙂 I finally finished putting together a master post for the hood deco I have in my game, so you can check that out HERE!

how’d you get “spooky day” in the sims 2?

I use a calendar by @rockethorse. 🙂 There’s a patterned version HERE and a Freezer Bunny version HERE! The calendar pictures change with the seasons, and you get pop-ups when there’s a holiday to celebrate. 😀

Would you ever do a BACC?

Oh, absolutely! Other Simmers’ BaCCs are so inspiring, and I’ve always wanted to start one myself. I actually wish I played Sycamore Cove with more of a BaCC framework. I’m terrible at keeping up with more than one neighborhood at a time though (*sadly waves at neglected uberhood*), so I’m afraid it wouldn’t happen until I get really bored with Sycamore Cove, or it explodes into a BFBVFS. 😀

What advice do you have for someone who wants to install ACR? How do I install it? Sorry, I’m sometimes kind of confused on how mods like this work and how to put them into my game.

Hey there! All you have to do is put it in your downloads folder like you would any other object or mod. 🙂 If I recall correctly, there are multiple packages included with the mod, so I just have them all in a folder called “ACR” and that stays within my actual Mods folder. 🙂

Hey! I actually just used screenshots I took in-game to make recolors of Threadandsandpaper’s photo mesh. I made them before I saw @poppet-sims‘s tutorial, but she does a better job of explaining the recolor process than I ever could so I’m just going to direct you over there! 🙂

Inge at Simlogical made some neat hacked objects to enable you to run a school off a residential lot. I haven’t used them myself yet, but I’m a big fan of @deedee-sims‘s BaCC, and ever since I saw her post using the school hacks I’ve been dying to try them myself! It just looks like such a cute idea. 😀 I’m hoping it will add a new dimension of gameplay for my sim kids and teens!

Hi there! I use Fraps to take screencaps and then I run them through Photoshop to brighten/sharpen/etc. 😀

where can i buy the sims 2 + the ultimate collection?

Hello! I’m pretty sure the only way you can buy TS2 discs these days is by getting them used on Amazon or Ebay or something. EA no longer offers it.

As for the Ultimate Collection, it was a free giveaway last summer, but I’ve had some people tell me that if you speak with someone from EA, they may still give it to you.
