Hi there! Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with this problem nor do I know of a fix. 😦 I did a quick google search which led me to a Leefish thread, but it doesn’t specify with whether or not the issue ever got fixed for the user. You can try looking through the thread and seeing if some of the things Kiri suggested may help you? It’s worth looking through the Leefish forums in general – Kiri is a real expert when it comes to graphics card stuff. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help! I hope you’re able to get it fixed. ❤

Any good sources for clutter CC? I love how you make homes come to life! It’s the little things :)

Ahhhh thank you so much! ❤ Decorating can be frustrating as hell when I don’t have the inspiration or the motivation to use 639020 OMSPs but when it all comes together, it’s worth it. 😀 aaaaaand that’s why I continue to download clutter even though I must have literal GB of it already. MY WEAKNESS.

ANYWAY. I have clutter from all over the place, but I’m going to do my best to narrow down some major sources!

Ano2uk used to be the go-to spot for clutter – the page still exists, but it’s quite outdated and a lot of the links don’t work anymore (Blackpearlsims, 8-3 Atelier, old livejournals, etc.). However! It’s still worth a look because many of those items are uploaded elsewhere (like Simscave, so definitely make an account there), and they’re organized nicely with pictures so you can find exactly what you need!

Onwards to links…

  • 8-3 Atelier (Simscave link, account required, huge zip with all sets)
  • Amovitam (tons of conversions with great clutter sets in between)
  • Around the Sims (one of my favorite sites since the TS1 days! Sandy has created for every iteration of the game, she’s the best and makes TONS of great clutter for residential and community lots alike)
  • Billyjean (formerly at BPS, maker of one of my favorite kitchen clutter sets which can be found in Simlish HERE!)
  • Cassandre (formerly at BPS, had a TON of clutter sets, especially food! I believe there’s an archive of her stuff at SimPearls although I’m not registered there yet and it requires an account, worth a try though?)
  • Chimerical (extracted maxis items & conversions, especially TSM, but other great/more versatile clutter as well)
  • Clutter-a-holic (another must-hit TS2 clutter spot, I mean it’s literally IN THE NAME. Those adorable plants that everyone uses EVERYWHERE? get them here! plus other great stuff!)
  • Decat (more great conversions, loads of extracted TS2/TS3 clutter, perfect for maxis-match games, great magical/historical-themed cc too!)
  • Delonariel (clutter, conversions, and hood deco OH MY)
  • Hafiseazale (TONS of conversions & clutter, like just go nuts. historical/medieval/fantasy-themed stuff too)
  • Lina-cherie (another favorite, conversions + bright & colorful recolors of some of my favorite sets!)
  • Mutske (T$R, great maxis add-on sets with clutter in between, plus PLANTS!)
  • Nemestnaya (formerly at BPS, random sets can be found on Simscave, account required)
  • Nuttydazesublime (TS4 conversions!)
  • Veranka (one of my all-time faves, conversions galore, can’t live without their stuff. Versatile furniture and clutter alike to please this maxis-matchy heart of mine ❤)
  • TSLD (clutter & TS4 conversions)
  • Zx-Ta (a lot of the images are broken, but I know I have a lot of clutter from here! extracted maxis stuff and conversions)

Like I said, I have a ton of clutter from other random places, so this list is by no means all-inclusive! These are just a few off the top of my head that either have a lot of clutter to download, or whose objects I tend to use over and over again in my game. Don’t forget to check out Garden of Shadows (threads like Secret Santa, CiJ, Advent, Founder’s Day, etc. are treasure troves of cc – there’s tons of clutter dispersed throughout!). And if I remember any obvious clutter resources, I’ll update this list. 😀 Or make an actual resource page hosted off-site so tumblr doesn’t eat all my links. AGAIN. Happy downloading!*

quick question: do the system specs in your FAQ still apply or have you changed/upgraded anything since then? also, do you still use windows 7 or similar? I do and I’ll need to switch to windows 10 eventually and I’m terrified already :/

Hey anon! Yep, everything on that page is still current. I’m still running Windows 7, too. I’ve heard Windows 10 horror stories, but there are lots of people running the game on Windows 10, so that means there must be a solution! 🙂 Leefish is a great place to look for answers, and (if I recall correctly), a good number of Windows 10 issues stem from SecuROM. So if you remove SecuROM (or you ran the game update on Origin that removes SecuROM although people experienced issues with that as well), you should be well on your way to a lag-free, enjoyable TS2 experience!

Do you know any neighborhoods that are populated already with nice sims? I just created a lot of sims myself to populate the town but I realized when I finished that I didn’t have my notownieregan mod in my downloads folder.

Hey anon! I’m sorry, but I think I might be misunderstanding your question a bit. If you made all those custom sims yourself to populate a fresh, clean hood, you could just add the notownieregen mod and then start a new neighborhood. It would be free of automatically-spawned townies, allowing you to add only your own sims to the hood. 

Unless you didn’t save the sims you used to populate the hood that’s already been infiltrated with spawned townies? In that case, you could always extract them using this method (you can extract and save any in-game sim in bodyshop, allowing you to edit and re-introduce them to any new neighborhood you want!). 

If you don’t want to recreate or extract all the sims you made and just want to start playing, MTS has a couple of pre-populated neighborhoods (just look through the tag, they’re usually clearly labeled if they’re inhabited or not!). Other than that, the only one that specifically comes to mind that I’ve wanted to try but I can barely handle my own neighborhood heheh is Europa by @katatty. I’m sorry I don’t have more specific suggestions, I’ve never downloaded/played a custom pre-populated neighborhood before!

Hi! Any chance at all you’d be willing to share your aurora sky? I’ve always loved the northern lights and something like it would be perfect for a norther/mountain hood. It looks beautiful, by the way!

Hey! I’d eventually like to. There are still some things I want to tweak on it, though, and I haven’t really had a chance to mess around with it since then. I made it as a neighborhood sky, but I’d like to make a lot version too (easier to switch back and forth when you’re actually playing a family, so you don’t necessarily have an aurora in the sky during daytime. ;D) 

Also, since I made that sky, I’ve learned a few new photoshop tips and tricks, so I might be able to use an even better picture for next time. 🙂 I’m glad you like it, though, thank you so much for the lovely comments! ❤
