Hi there! I actually build most of my community lots myself (I have a bit of an obsession with building community lots), but I would recommend checking the Sims Community Project! There are tons of wonderful CC-free lots (both community and residential) that you can use and redecorate to your heart’s content. In my last neighborhood, I used the Simqualizer Night Club, Bumblebee Square, and Plumbbob Park. 🙂
Hey anon! I’m actually not sure. : I’ve noticed it occasionally happens on my screenshots, but most of the time it doesn’t? I’m not sure if there’s a setting I accidentally toggled on/off without realizing. It is annoying to keep editing out, though. 😦
Can anyone help this anon? (Gosh, I’m just useless today, aren’t I? D:)
EDIT: “The version number comes from having testing cheats enabled; turning them off and then exiting/re-entering the lot is the only way to remove it, if I’m not mistaken.” Thanks deveroux! That makes sense, since I play with testing cheats off. 🙂 Anon, give this a try!
EDIT EDIT: Confirmed by diigosims as well!
Hi there!

The shirt is a separated version of this outfit by MistyBlue, but I’m not sure where I found it. My folder said it’s by SpikesMinx, but I can’t find a link to save my life. 😦 Can anyone help anon out?
BaCC stands for “Build a City Challenge.” You basically create several “founder” sims and work on building a neighborhood from scratch, usually following a rule set. I’ve seen several out there – one of the most popular is Nepheris’ rule set, but many other Simmers have adapted the rules to better suit their play style. For example, check out DeeDee’s and Mara’s rule sets, as well! I started my own neighborhood from scratch, but I kind of wish I did it as more of a BaCC – it seems more fun and challenging, and definitely paces the building a bit more! *guilty of building seven community lots before completing a single round of play*
ROS stands for “Random Occurrence Scenario.” You basically use a program (or I suppose you could manually roll die) to randomize different events for your game. Some of them are minor, such as making your Sims have a sleepover, while others might really shake up your game play, such as making a family member move out. D: I haven’t decided if I’m ready to commit to this level of randomness yet, but it’s definitely good for those who want a challenge! You kind find different ROS files here, here, and here. 😀
Hi hi anon friend! I’m glad you like my lots! 😀 The fourth one (the pub) is actually already available for download HERE. Just a note – this was only the second lot I’ve ever uploaded, so I didn’t included master meshes or Maxis recolors. 😦 One day I’ll go through and repackage it to include the required files, but in the meantime, if you download it and something is missing feel free to WCIF it and I’ll link you it.
I wouldn’t mind uploading the Oakwood Biergarten if you don’t mind an excessive number of plants. ^^; I’ll try to do that soon – I’ve been updating it a little bit, so I’ll package it when it’s finished.
And a very kind Simmer asked me to upload the diner about two years ago or something, and I still haven’t done so because I’m a lazy git. So I’ll try to have those both up soon. 😀
Hi there! I’ve never played a pre-built custom neighborhood – the closest I’ve come is downloading a few pre-decorated terrains, and then just putting the buildings in myself. I know of a couple that exist on MTS, so I looked through the neighborhood tag to pick a few that looked good:
Pre-decorated: one, two, three
Pre-built lots: one, two, three, four, five
Most of them are base-game compatible, with the exception of the beachy neighborhood which probably requires BV. Again, I’ve never played a pre-built neighborhood so I’m not sure how to install them, but they should come with instructions!
As far as I know, there are no pre-decorated neighborhoods that already come with deco buildings (I think most of the buildings, like the skyscrapers, require at least Nightlife? idk). But fortunately, CuriousB and delonariel (along with other creators!) have made tons of neighborhood deco conversions that make it easier to build up a neighborhood without actually having to build. 😀
I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed by an empty map – if you can’t tell from some of my neighborhood screenshots, I can assure you that the majority of Sycamore Cove is completely empty! I just focused on building up one area at a time to at least give the illusion of a dense urban neighborhood. I’m very slow at building (and playing, for that matter).
Hope this helps! ❤ (And if anyone else has neighborhood/map suggestions for this anon, feel free to add your input!)
Hey!

oldsheilapictureisold – she hasn’t worn her glasses ever since she became a witch and they glitched out, so I just removed them. x) I should try re-adding them, though, I think they complete her look!
Anyway, her hair is a retexure by vadie that you can get HERE. The glasses are a recolor by CuriousB and you can get those HERE (I’m pretty sure she’s wearing “Retro Red”).
Have fun!
Hey anon! I hope this is what you mean. :3 Forgive my craptastic diagrams…

Blue lots are residential, pink lots are community. Everything else is hood deco. ❤
Lot 3.5 is Nate and Tabitha’s house, which I didn’t realize was in the screenshot. :3 Annie and Jasper live “off-screen” in the more rural part of town.
More pictures to illustrate the layout:

If you want more/better pictures, feel free to send me another message! I at least hope my pitiful labeling skills help you better understand the layout of the urban part of Sycamore Cove. 🙂
Sure! 🙂

The mop is by Zx_Ta here and the pile of cleaning goodies is from this must-have set by guatla. I don’t remember where the plunger is from, but I’ll update this post as soon as my game is loaded.
Have fun! 🙂
EDIT: Plunger is by Nemestnaya from the “Around a Sink” set which I had a feeling it was. It used to be up for download on BPS, but you may be able to find it in the archive here at Sims Cave (registration required).
