Hi! Any chance at all you’d be willing to share your aurora sky? I’ve always loved the northern lights and something like it would be perfect for a norther/mountain hood. It looks beautiful, by the way!

Hey! I’d eventually like to. There are still some things I want to tweak on it, though, and I haven’t really had a chance to mess around with it since then. I made it as a neighborhood sky, but I’d like to make a lot version too (easier to switch back and forth when you’re actually playing a family, so you don’t necessarily have an aurora in the sky during daytime. ;D) 

Also, since I made that sky, I’ve learned a few new photoshop tips and tricks, so I might be able to use an even better picture for next time. 🙂 I’m glad you like it, though, thank you so much for the lovely comments! ❤ 

Tabi finally transitions to an elder! :’) She gets an immediate wardrobe change, befitting her CEO status (she’s still working and raking in the moolah, typical Fortune Sim). Note to self: pls work on elder defaults.

Not sure she likes her new business-casual look, as she prepares salmon in a rigid trance. 😛 (Still love that old family photo of them, even though I’ve taken more recent ones.)

Anyway, @mikexx2, thank you! The tall grey building was built exclusively to house a swanky rooftop bar. 😛 All of the floors inside are completely empty, but I attempted to make the exterior look like an upscale skyscraper. Unfortunately (and I knew this going into the project, but I persevered anyway), it’s tall enough to the point where it’ll be a real pain in the ass to play. 😐 It’s already too tall to take good screenshots without the camera going haywire. But, alas, sometimes I get a building itch that just won’t quit. 😛 

how do you decide aspirations for your sims? do you do it randomly?

Hey anon! Yes, I use a randomizer. 🙂 I randomize both primary and secondary aspirations, but lately I’ve just been assigning the primary one and saving the secondary for later, when I’ve gotten more of a feel for that Sim’s personality. Sometimes I realize later on that they’re more suited for something different, so I’ll assign it as a secondary myself. 🙂 For example, Jasper was a townie with a predetermined fortune aspiration, but he always seemed like more of a family Sim to me. So he got it as his secondary. 😀
