Been there SO MANY TIMES! Are you building a Hogwarts with a Hogsmeade or a little London?

I haven’t decided yet! I’m so torn. :c I wasn’t planning on building the lots myself because I wouldn’t get to actually play the hood until 2035 (and I have no patience to build a castle), but I’m pretty picky and nothing I’ve found so far is meeting my needs… I’ll probably end up with both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, though. 😛

And I’m still deciding how I want to do student living arrangements… separate lots for each “house,” or multiple copies of the Hogwarts lot so that all the students can have their dorms, common rooms, and access to the rest of the castle as well. :

This was supposed to be FOR FUN!!

I did it a few years ago – I had the castle in four portions, each housing the house common room and dormitories, and also a few classes. I used the transporter cat to bring kids in from their family homes to live in their section of the castle and to make them selectable in the other sections. I gave each section its own kitchen and dining room, just for playability, but for story purposes I had The Great Hall in a separate lot. It didn’t look perfect in neighbourhood view, but it was good for gameplay and not having too much lag.

DUUUUUUDE YOUR LOTS ARE AMAZING! I’m going to cry a little in the corner now okay

But seriously, thank you for sharing! I have a lot of ideas and feel a bit less overwhelmed now, haha. I especially love your version of the Burrow! ❤

This was supposed to be FOR FUN!!

A friend of mine plays TS3 and she has this crazy Harry Potter neighborhood where all sorts of drama and hilarity ensue, so of course I thought it’d be fun to throw a bunch of HP characters into a hood in TS2 and see how it goes.

WELL.

“For fun” turned into me getting waaaaaayyy more invested than I originally thought (of course). To the point where I spent two nights downloading custom cc and spent hours in body shop making Sims, hair retextures, and even a clothing rexture. And of course I’m nowhere near finished.

i was gonna make a joke about how the massachusetts candle probably smells like a drug deal in the dunkin donuts parking lot but then i checked and it legitimately smells like dunkin coffee i’m done

does the jersery one smell like a fucking dumpster

@youarestillamystery

@tflatte, @deirdrearchleone

link to the site if anyone’s curious about their home state!

*sniffs the jersey one* ah yes dumpsters and beaches

Ohio is corn

chocolate and molasses.

NorCal is pear, redwood, and vineyards. (Kudos to them for separating NorCal and SoCal.)

really disappointed Wisconsin’s doesn’t smell like cheese.  Also Texas needs to be broken up.  My part of Texas needs more tacos and bbq than cotton and leather.

Alabama is “hints of wet road fresh from a summer storm, magnolia, and peanuts,” which all sounds legitimately great but I’m gonna need more red dirt and pine trees in there my dudes

Blackberries and BBQ? Nope. Mine needs a hell of a lot more ‘Psychotic redneck Trump voters, KKK, and Koch Brothers Owned Politicians.“

“pine tree, hazelnut, and Oregon pears” nah more like pine trees, rain, and mould

Connecticut: “vanilla, nutmeg, and apple orchard scents” I guess? Idk where the vanilla comes from. Needs more autumn leaf smell. And income inequality, whatever that smells like.

Me before clicking: “If the Maryland one doesn’t include Old Bay somehow, I’m slapping them with a glove and demanding satisfaction.”

Maryland: hints of salt water and Old Bay.

Duel averted. Good job.

“magnolia, honeysuckle, country jasmine, and Louisiana sweet potato”

Expected magnolia, vaguely disappointed there’s nothing spicy, no idea how a Louisiana sweet potato smells any different from any other state’s.

“Scent takes you back to the Land of Lincoln with hints of grain fields, violets (the state flower), and lake breeze” ??? They need a Chicago one, because that’s not what it smells like here. It should smell like Garrett’s popcorn, chocolate, sewer, asphalt, and horse urine.

“Alaska: These scents will take you back to the good ol’ days in America’s Last Frontier with hints of spruce forest, mountain air, and glacial meltwater.” Fair enough, but I feel like it’s missing important scents like diesel fuel, dead fish, and moose poop.

“Lake Breeze” for Illinois is kind of vague.  Do they mean “dead fish washed up on the shore and baking in the sun for two weeks” lake breeze?

South Carolina – “Scent brings you back home with hints of palmetto, hibiscus, sweet tea, and sea breeze.” I suppose that means you can only be homesick for the coast? Switch that to sweet tea and pine trees and you’ve got the rest of the state.

New York: “Scent will bring you back home to the Empire State with hints of Adirondacks forest floor, apple orchards, and pumpkin.”

Ha, I wish! It’s nice and all, but what about the 8.5 million people (including myself) who live in the city? Needs essences of hot garbage, urine, and street food. :3

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Olivia needs to become an evil witch in my game. She’s always teasing her siblings and pulling pranks on townies. And she walks around with that evil cackle.

Her lack of nice points aside, Olivia befriends Leah St. Claire. Their bonding sessions aren’t enough to keep Olivia from laughing at her bestie’s dancing, though.
