Hi hi! The taller high-res buildings surrounding The Hive are actually Maxis hood deco from the Nightlife EP. šŸ™‚ This includes the skyscraper, the building with the little balconies that lights up at night, and also another square one that looks like an office building.Ā 

As for other high-res hood deco, DelonarielĀ has a lot of great 3t2 rabbithole conversions, such as the ones here. You can see in the screenshots HEREĀ how clear they are from a nearby lot view. šŸ™‚Ā 

Iā€™m actually planning to make a resource page for hood deco soon, since I get a lot of questions pertaining to it. But I hope this helps you for now! šŸ™‚

Hi! I absolutely adore your Sycomore Cove lots!!! I have been searching desperately to find nice Community Lots for Sims 2 everywhere. Are you planning to upload all your lots?!?!?!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your wonderful compliment. šŸ˜€ I have a few uploaded already!Ā 

I donā€™t mind sharing community lots, although there are a couple I wonā€™t share (such as the boardwalk, because beach lots are so finicky when placed into a different neighborhood). Iā€™ve also been asked about sharing Surrey Hall, the dormitory at Windham University, but itā€™s absolutely massiveĀ and chock-full of CC. Maybe in the future I could uploaded a smaller/simpler version. šŸ™‚

Other than that, Iā€™m open to suggestions for lots to be uploaded, although I will warn that Iā€™m veryĀ slow about actually doing it. D: Most of my community lots are very CC-heavy. I try to cull as much unnecessary content as possible while keeping the basic look of the lot intact. I also try to hunt down master meshes wherever possible (some of my earlier lots are missing the master meshes in the upload and Iā€™d like to fix this in the future!). So for a very cluttered lot, this could take awhile. Iā€™ve had some lovely people request Lucyā€™s Diner and also the Oakwood Biergarten, and Iā€™ve yet to upload either of them. :X

TL;DR – Yes, Iā€™m open to uploading lots, although itā€™s not always feasible for certain ones. Feel free to request any, although I canā€™t guarantee it will be uploaded in a timely manner. ^^;

As requested, here is the Dunne-Blake residence up for download! Itā€™s a 2×2 unfurnished residential lot. I took out all of the furniture inside to cut down on CC/file size, but it was only minimally furnished to lay out the floor plan, anyway. Gardening outside is intact, except for the trees. It also has a pretty nifty pool! šŸ˜€

I forgot to included the master meshes this time, Iā€™m sorry! šŸ˜¦ You should only need the Bari master mesh for the doors/arches and possibly a master mesh from Ohbehaveā€™s Miasmata conversions for some of the outside ferns. If something else flashes blue, let me know!

  • I have all EPs and SPs.
  • Pretty much the only CC included is build mode stuff – windows, doors, staircase, fence, walls, floors – and plants. I also packaged the floor-edge hider I used to trim the overhang in the backyard.
  • I am absolute shite at floor plans so PLEASE feel free to edit to your heartā€™s content.
  • I bulk-renamed my files at some point – please be aware of this, as my files may not necessarily overwrite yours, resulting in duplicates.

As always, use the CLEAN INSTALLER!

Feel free to edit, use in your stories/screenshots, etc. A tag would be nice because Iā€™d love to see what you do with it!

UPDATE 6/4/16 – Some of my lots apparently carry the Super Duper Hug Bug. If you are unfamiliar with the bug, you can read more about it HERE. If you donā€™t already have it, BoilingOilā€™s No Sim Loaded will prevent the bug from ā€œinfectingā€ your game. If you already have the bug, the mod will suppress it. Either way, itā€™s a must-have.

Hey Fi! I’m wanting to start a new hood and actually love it. Any advice as far as anything goes?

Hi there! Do you mean advice for playing a hood and not getting bored with it? šŸ˜” Thatā€™s going to depend a lot on you as an individual player. Some people like to play a single family (legacy-style), I prefer to play in rounds. If I could go back and start my neighborhood over, though, Iā€™d like to play it as a proper BaCC and follow a structured rule set (or at least play in a more structured way than I do now XD). I built my neighborhood from scratch, but I basically added new families or townies or community lots whenever I felt like it. A BaCC rule set usually has limitations in place for when you can build a community lot or add new Sims, which paces the gameplay a bit more. At the same time, you donā€™t want to abide by any challenge or rule set that makes playing a chore! It is a game, after all, and itā€™s supposed to be fun. So find a general gameplay style that fits you – legacy, rotations, asylum challenge, etc. – and tweak the rules as you see fit!Ā

I was over at MTS looking for Honeywellā€™s nursery add-on set, and I came across THISĀ – functional appliance shelves! How cool is that?!? You can put stuff like coffeemakers and microwaves on the shelf above the counter, and Sims can still use them! *downloads immediately* I canā€™t wait to try these out!
