This made me laugh for all of about 5 seconds…before I remembered I have the random triplets & quads mod installed and a couple of (struggling financially) pregnant Sims in my new neighborhood. *silence*

It’s all fun and games until it happens in your own game! 😛 And yeah, Tabi and Nate are in a tough financial situation right now. I keep taking out “loans” using the loan jar, which isn’t exactly cheating, but they don’t exactly get penalized if they don’t pay it back either. 😛 Oh well – I’m hoping at least one of the four kids will be financially successful and can help out poor Mom and Dad in the future!

Thank you! ❤ I feel like those are my go-to colors… I realized after posting screenshots of a bathroom the other day that I’ve made 2 or 3 blue bathrooms with red accents. XD I need to start collecting palettes for inspiration!

hmm!! I see your problem!! One day long long (very long) time ago, I found myself with something like 7 babies (in a household with 6 sims already)… Anyway, which mod it is?

Seven babies?!? O_o Oh you poor soul! It’s the Triplets & Quads Mod by TwoJeffs. Install at your own risk… ;D

Heheh, thanks Jean! At least they were able to get a nifty expansion out of the whole predicament…even if it means a buttload of debt. ^^;

Same XD that’s why I haven’t reinstalled. But I’m tempted.. Just to torture my Sims xD But when they have that many I cheat like crazy on their moods.

So far I haven’t cheated although it’s veeeeerrryyy tempting. 😛 I’ve already caved and keep using move_objects to delete the old bottles that constantly litter the floor because it’s so time-consuming to have my Sims keep throwing them out one by one…

RIGHT???? GOSH maybe if I spend more time actually playing than building community lots that I definitely don’t need, I’d be more aware of all the cute animations in-game!

Aw, I love the dinosaur theme. 🙂 I wish I wasn’t so skittish about putting patterns together when decorating. It’s not like I have that problem in real life, and all. *sigh*

Oh, believe me, my OCD was creeping up. ;D I wanted nothing more than to slap a matching solid orange comforter on that bed…but then I remembered how I was when I was a kid. When I was obsessed with something, I had to have everything revolve around it! (For me, it was horses – horse blanket, horse books, horse toys, horse posters… :D) I figured Graham wouldn’t mind if it meant having more dinosaurs in his room. 😉

Semi realistic or maxis match? Which do you prefer and why?

Maxis-match here! Especially for the Sims themselves. 🙂 A huge part of the attraction to TS2 for me is the gameplay itself, and I feel like the Sims’ expressions and animations translate better with Maxis-match cc as opposed to realistic. However, I love seeing people use realistic cc in photoshoots – sometimes I have trouble telling if it’s a Sim or a real person! 

As for buy/build stuff, I’ve been trying to keep to mostly Maxis-match content, but I make some exceptions. :3 Some of my lots have a lot of cc to make them look more realistic or lived-in, but I’m trying to keep to cleaner/simpler textures to make my game more cohesive and Maxis-matchy overall. 🙂

I feel like there’s a lot of work that goes into making a realistic neighborhood. The vanilla game is pretty cartoony, and it can be a bit jarring to have realistic Sims walking around in a bright or cartoony neighborhood. (That’s how I used to play. :P) If you have the dedication to download the right build/buy content or install terrain/road replacements and mods, etc., to make a realistic hood, I’m sure the payoff is tremendous. For me, it’s all about creating a completely immersive experience, and I definitely don’t have the dedication or discipline to create a realistic/themed hood. (One of the many reasons why my medieval hood remains a pipe dream… *heavy sigh*)

Those are just some of the (more technical) reasons. There’s also the fact that the Maxis-match style just really appeals to me. 😛 I love bright colors and clean lines. And since I went Maxis-match, my downloads folder has been more under control (if you can believe that 14+GB is under control…you should’ve seen it when I had every hairstyle in all of Pooklet’s colors D:).
