How do you replace maxis face sims with custom face templates in your neighborhood? I really want to start a legacy but I’m tired of seeing maxis sims. I’ve tried everything. Can you explain how you did?

Hi there! First thing’s first, I use default replacement face templates, so new townies/NPCs that I generate will use those instead of the Maxis ones. Just an FYI – these will only affect new Sims you create! Any existing Sim faces will not be affected if you switch out your defaults. 

Second thing – you’ll want to make a clean custom neighborhood to prevent Maxis townies from spawning, leaving you free to populate it with your own custom Sims! I’ve done a quick little FAQ HERE about starting a custom neighborhood. It’s more of an outline than a tutorial, but it has links to actual tutorials to help you out.
